I though I was grooming a powerful raider force under my control safely tucked away from Boston central but little did I know until the very end that the dlc was as linear as can be. Why wasn't there an option to push back and force the gangs to be content with controlling Nuka world? I mean it's an entirely raider controlled territory thanks to me and they still want the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ commonwealth settlements. Helping raiders invade MY commonwealth is not at all benefitial to the Institute cause and I think that's where the dlc went really downhill for me. I love playing the bad guy as much as the next guy, but even with my Institute-centric playthrough I know when certain things needed to be left alone or simply kept in check, because as a leader you need to be able to prioritise what is benefitial and what is not. Being the game's LAST dlc forever, it's seriously left a sour taste in my mouth and is likely the most disappointing story dlc I've played in years.
